11. FAQ & Troubleshooting
No signal on the TV
Confirm the TV is on the correct HDMI input. Try a different HDMI cable or a different port on the TV. Check that the LED on the device is lit.
Remote not responding
Re-pair it: hold Home + Back for 3 seconds. If the remote LED does not flash at all when you press a button, replace the batteries.
Wi-Fi keeps dropping
Switch to the 5GHz band, reposition the external antennas, move the router closer, or use a wired Ethernet connection for full stability.
An app crashes or freezes
Go to Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Clear Cache. If it continues, uninstall and reinstall the app.
4K content is not playing in 4K
Check that your TV supports 4K, that you are using a High Speed HDMI cable, and that the service you are streaming from offers 4K on your plan.
How do I factory reset?
Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Reset → Factory Reset. This erases all data and returns the device to factory defaults — use it as a last resort.
