Do I need WiFi?

Yes, an internet connection is required to stream content. ColaBox supports dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz — use 5GHz for 4K streaming) and a Gigabit Ethernet port on L2 Plus for a wired connection. Recommended speeds: 25 Mbps or higher for 4K, 10–15 Mbps for HD. Some apps like Netflix allow offline downloads, but initial setup always requires internet.

How many TVs can I connect?

Each ColaBox device connects to one TV at a time. If you want the same experience on multiple TVs, you'll need one device per TV. The most popular setup: ColaBox L2 Plus ($309) for your main living room TV, and ColaStick V1 Plus ($279) for a bedroom, hotel, or travel. You can also grab the Whole-Home Bundle and save $30. Is this the same as VSeeBox or SuperBox?

All three are Android streaming boxes with similar pre-installed channel ecosystems — you get the same 1,000+ channels on all of them. The difference is price, warranty, and support. What channels can I watch?

Can I install my own apps?

Yes. ColaBox runs full Android 14 with access to the Google Play Store — over 3 million apps. Install any Android-compatible streaming service, game, browser, or utility you want. Popular apps already supported include Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, HBO Max, Sling TV, YouTube TV, ESPN, DAZN, and Spotify.

What Android version does it run?

Both ColaBox L2 Plus and ColaStick V1 Plus run Android 14 — the latest version of Android. This gives you full Google Play Store access, up-to-date security, and long-term app compatibility. The device receives OTA (over-the-air) updates automatically when connected to WiFi.

Does it support 4K?

Yes. ColaBox L2 Plus delivers true 4K Ultra HD (3840 × 2160), HDR10+ for enhanced color and contrast, 60fps smooth playback for sports and action, and H.265/AV1 hardware decoding for efficient streaming with less buffering. You'll need a 4K TV with HDMI 2.0 or higher and an internet connection of 25 Mbps or faster.

Can I use Bluetooth headphones?

Yes. ColaBox supports Bluetooth 5.0, so you can connect any Bluetooth headphones for private viewing — perfect for late-night watching without disturbing others. One thing to know: headphones need a quick manual reconnect (about 10 seconds) at the start of each viewing session. Once paired, your headphones are remembered — just go to Bluetooth settings and tap to reconnect.

How do I set it up?

Setup takes about 60 seconds. Connect the HDMI cable from ColaBox to your TV, plug in the power adapter, switch your TV to the correct HDMI input, then follow the on-screen wizard to select your language, connect to WiFi, and pair the remote. 🔧 Technical Support

My remote isn't working

Try these steps in order. First, check your batteries — insert 2x AAA batteries with correct polarity. Second, re-pair the remote by pressing and holding the pairing button (Home + Back together) for 3 seconds until you see the pairing animation on screen. Third, restart ColaBox by unplugging for 30 seconds, then plug back in and try pairing again.

If you're using a ColaStick: the most common cause is signal blocking. When the stick is plugged directly into your TV's back panel, the metal chassis can block the Bluetooth signal. Use the included HDMI extension cable to move the stick away from the panel — this solves the issue in most cases.

Still not working? Use your TV's remote via HDMI-CEC as a temporary fix, then contact us at support@colaboxtech.com. Remote replacement is covered under warranty.

ColaStick: which install method should I use?

There are three ways to install ColaStick. We recommend Method 2 for most users.

Method 1 — Direct (simplest, may cause remote issues): Plug ColaStick directly into your TV's HDMI port and power via the TV's USB port. Note: if your TV has a metal back panel, this can block the Bluetooth remote signal. Switch to Method 2 if the remote stops responding.

Method 2 — Extension Cable (recommended): TV HDMI port → HDMI extension cable → ColaStick → power adapter. This keeps the stick away from the back panel, gives reliable remote control, and improves airflow.

Method 3 — Full Extension with Coupler (for tight spaces): TV HDMI port → HDMI extension cable → HDMI coupler → ColaStick → power adapter. Best for TVs where ports are close together or at awkward angles.

All accessories — extension cable, coupler, power adapter — are included in the box. Nothing extra to buy.

WiFi keeps disconnecting

Try these steps. Switch to your router's 5GHz band in WiFi settings for a stronger, more stable signal. Move ColaBox closer to your router or reduce obstacles between them. Restart both your router and ColaBox — unplug both for 30 seconds, restart the router first, then ColaBox. If ColaBox connects fine to your phone's hotspot but not your home WiFi, the issue is with your router settings. For the most stable experience, use the Ethernet port on L2 Plus with a wired connection — this eliminates WiFi issues entirely and is recommended for 4K streaming. Still not resolved? Device running slow

A few things that usually help. Clear app cache: go to Settings → Apps → select the app → Clear Cache. Do this for apps you use frequently. Uninstall unused apps to free up RAM. Restart the device to clear temporary files. Check your internet speed — buffering or choppy playback is often a WiFi issue rather than the device itself. If slowness persists after all of the above, a factory reset will restore the device to full performance (see the factory reset question below).

How to update firmware

ColaBox receives OTA updates automatically when connected to WiFi. To manually check for an update: go to Settings → About Device → Check for Update (or System Update). If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions. Updates typically take 5–10 minutes and the device restarts automatically. Keep ColaBox connected to power and WiFi throughout the process.

How to factory reset

Go to Settings → System → Reset → Factory Reset (or Erase Everything), then confirm when prompted. The device will restart and begin a fresh setup. After the reset you'll go through initial setup again — language, WiFi, Google account. Your apps can be reinstalled from the Google Play Store. If you're resetting before returning or selling the device, this also removes all your personal data.

Can I use a VPN?

Yes. ColaBox runs full Android 14, so you can install any VPN app from the Google Play Store — ExpressVPN, NordVPN, Surfshark, and others — exactly like you would on an Android phone. A VPN can be useful for accessing region-locked content, adding privacy on public WiFi, or using international streaming services while traveling. ColaBox does not include or endorse any specific VPN service.

How long does shipping take?

ColaBox ships from our warehouse in Ontario, CA. Orders placed before 2pm PST typically ship the same day. Standard delivery is 2–5 business days and is free on all US orders. Real-time tracking is included — you'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes, we ship to Canada. Shipping times and rates are calculated at checkout based on your location. ColaBox is fully legal to own and use in Canada. Please note that Canadian orders may be subject to import duties or taxes collected by customs, which are the responsibility of the recipient.

What's your return policy?

We offer a 60-day money-back guarantee — no questions asked. The device must be undamaged, in its original packaging, and include all accessories. You'll receive a full refund to your original payment method with no restocking fees. Purchases from unauthorized third-party sellers are not covered by our return policy.

How do I start a return?

Email support@colaboxtech.com with your order number and reason for return. Our team will respond within 24 hours with a return authorization and shipping instructions. Ship the device back in its original packaging. Your refund will be processed within 3–5 business days of us receiving the item. Where is my order?
